They offer you a mosaic of shapes and colours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The marshes are divided into two areas :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Gu\u00e9rande salt marshes, around the Traict du Croisic, covering 1,650 hectares, in the communes of Batz-sur-Mer, Gu\u00e9rande and La Turballe.<\/li><li>The M\u00e8s salt marshes, beyond the Gu\u00e9rande hillside, cover 350 hectares in the communes of Mesquer-Quimiac, Saint-Molf and Ass\u00e9rac. The last saltworks in the basin were built around 1800.
